IPhone 16 Debuts With New Buttons, IPhone 16 Pro Gets Bigger Displays, Better Cameras

Apple has unveiled its brand new iPhone 16 lineup that’s set to go on sale later this month. Here are a few reasons to buy it, in case you’re thinking of upgrading.

1 – While the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus get an action button as well as a new Camera Control button, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max get larger displays and improved camera capabilities.

2 – Speaking of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, their display sizes stay steady at 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch.

3 – While the Action button makes a jump from the iPhone 15 Pro models, the completely new Camera Control button opens up new possibilities.

Apart from capturing photos and videos, it can be used for a variety of other functions. You can launch the Camera app with it or slide on it to control zoom, exposure and other features.

4 – The iPhone 16 range will be powered by the new A18 chip, giving it the ability to render all the upcoming Apple Intelligence features. The new chip gives the devices 30 percent faster CPU speed and 40 percent faster GPU performance.

5 – The shooting assembly on the new iPhone 16 models is being referred to by Apple as the Fusion camera. The two cameras have been aligned in a manner that enables them to capture spatial photos and videos for viewing on the Apple Vision Pro.

The 48MP main camera captures highly detailed 24MP images and even gives you access to 2x optical-quality zoom. On the other hand, the 12MP ultra-wide camera finally gets autofocus, which means it can even deliver a macro mode.

6 – The new A18 chip also allows the iPhone 16 series to offer a big boost in battery life. The iPhone 16 can support 22 hours of video playback, whereas the Plus model can keep going for a whopping 27 hours.

Speaking of the iPhone 16 Pro range, the Pro model has received a 6.3-inch panel, while the Pro Max has been blessed with a 6.9-inch one. These iPhone 16 Pro models are powered by the A18 Pro chip, which grabs a 16-core Neural Engine, 6-core GPU, and a 6-core CPU. This gives a 15 percent boost in CPU speed and a 20 percent boost in GPU speed.

The bigger batteries in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max allow them to render 27 hours and 33 hours of video playback, respectively.

Pricing details

September 20 is when all the new iPhone 16 models will start being sold in the US. The iPhone 16 range has 128GB of base storage and costs $799 and $899 for the regular and Plus models, respectively.

The iPhone 16 Pro also has 128GB of base storage and starts at $999, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max gets 256GB of base storage and a $1199 starting price.
